CCBill has been charging me without me knowing!!
CCBill is an online merchant billing service that some subscription based websites use. I signed up for a subscription on a website I enjoyed going to and cancelled my subscription months later because I didn't have the funds anymore.
The website itself said my subscription was cancelled. Then about a year later I see a CCBill being charged to my debit card. It's $14.95 a month, but in a year that adds up to $179.40. I'm disputing this claim against the charges put on my account with my Wells Fargo bank.
Hopefully something will be done. Lessoned learned.
Anyone else wanting a monthly subscription to a website please use a prepaid debit card instead. It'll save you the hassle.
"transaction declined" but pulled $15 from my account!
I know it's only a measly 15USD but it was supposed to be a donation for an educators' community. There was an error and the screen showed "transaction declined." I thought, OK.
Too bad. But when I checked my bank account, the amount was actually pulled from my account. I immediately reported it, within an hour. The support replied back and explained that my current postal address is different from my bank's address.
Hence, it didn't go through. I said ok, as long as the amount is dropped back to my account. They even told me that next time, I should report it within the day so they could troubleshoot it (Um I did... within an hour!
They didn't even check the timezones.) 8 days went by and the money's still missing. I sent a screenshot of my statement (that obviously showed an overall decrease) but the support insisted that it was an increase (wow have you heard of time stamps/date?).
Good thing I decided to donate only 15$. T^T Never going to pay for anything that uses CCBill service as third party gateway, ever again.

I discovered a charge from CcBill.com on my bank statement. Have not used this account in months, so know that the charge was not mine.
I called and alerted my bank that someone had stolen my card number. They immediately cancelled the card. I then called 888-596**** for ccbill and spoke to a rep. Explained that I found this charge on my account.
Rep explained they are a 3rd party online cc service, and he very politely asked if i had made online purchases with the card. I explained I do not use this account very often and haven't made online purchases in over 6 months. He asked for the cc # to look up the charge. Since the card is cancelled i gave him the info.
He asked to verify my info, name, address, and email. I explained i would give my name, my house #, and email, which he was fine with. He found the charge i had on my statement, and a charge for the same amount for exactly 1 year ago. When asked what the charge was for he said for a digital play account that had just renewef from ladt years purchase.
I explained i did not make or authorize either of the charges. He was able to refund the recent charge and was able to put make it to where my info can not be used in their system again, meaning my name, email, etc.
The charge from a year ago was not refundable due to the amount of time that had passed, but i could see what my bank could do to help me and ccbill would not dispute any sort of charge back, given the circumstances.
My suggestion if you see ccbill on your statement and you are unsure of the charge is to call them. They were very helpful and courteous.

I did not benefit from paying for this program. Please cancel this order
I paid the fee of 29.95 so that I could watch the Army/Penn State
on line and was not successful in getting the program for viewing.
I trusted and took the chance to use your offer. At 80 years old
I had to go with a friend to a bar to watch the game.
I do not want any trouble getting my money back. I will not benefit
in the future if I can't bring up the game that I want to see.
Please cancel my order and return the money to my credit card.
And CANCEL THE AUTOMATIC RENEWal of that program.

Do not use CCbill.com I also have unauthorized charges on my debit card from ccbill.com. I do not know who they are or ever contacted them with any type of business.
My bank has shut down my account because this company along with others have hit my account.
This is FRAUD!
