They are persistent, I'll give em that much
- - I would be charged if I didn't cancel within 3 days.
- - Life Alert ad replaced customer service; long sales pitch and multiple billing attempts.
I was having a hard time one recent midnight dreary and enrolled in a trial period for an adult dating/entertainment site. I'd read the fine print in the TOS, so I knew I would be charged if I didn't cancel it prior to the 3 days elapsing, and made good faith efforts to do so.
But, instead of the "customer service" department at the number provided for the imaginary department, it was an ad for some sort of "Life Alert" device and saying no! by pressing the key to deny that product's pitch didn't stop them from going into a tedious hard sell that went on forever! So, eventually, as is cc bill's intent, I'm sure, I gave up. Then they tried to bill my debit card $50, not just once, when my bank's fraud protection department stopped it, but again, a few days later.
Having been made aware of the other numbers to call for refuting the charge via the POed Consumer site, I found each of those numbers inoperable, so I'll now be forced to re-contact my bank to ensure, if I can, that this nefarious firm doesn't get to gouge me as to their intent. One has to wonder what the percentage of the guys faced with similar situations just caves and pays... and what the percentage of the *** seller's and their billing service's profit margin is the result of this (so obviously planned ) sneaky and underhanded technique is. I'm thinking that the FTC will be anxious to be appraised of the matter, although I cannot imagine it will be news to them!
I'd be ever so grateful if you know of any additional avenues for dealing with this greedy gang's methods!
If not, I'm still thankful for the forum I could utilize to shed some light on these crooks! Gracias!

Not rating the company in question⁴. I instead felt compelled to submit a sort of review and comment on a rapidly growing problem not isolated to the US, but a global one. Illiteracy.

Illiteracy. Oh Jesus, not another educator hollering about the education system's failings.
Yeah, no. It's not, and I'm not an educator. I am not even that highly educated in a classroom sense. I graduated, non-regrettants, from a small-town high school some 30 plus years ago, after another circled 65—the teaching staff's way of indicating, 'He'll be fine; he is just utterly uninspired by our school's structure and subject matter—get him out of here!' I'm simply a very concerned person, worried about the rapidly growing problem of illiteracy, and it would be naive of anyone to assume it's isolated and cannot possibly pose any threat to society and/or create any business in any way, because nothing is isolated.
Not with the World Wide Web, which in my opinion has been the conductor of the train that's been delivering the means that have facilitated its rise, and will continue to unless something is done, and I mean soon, to curb access to loophole apps for cheating purposes by school students around the globe, such as ChatGPT and others, that are slowly but steadily replacing the human brain as a necessary organ in a human's ability to solve problems, effectively answer questions correctly, and spell and organize sentences in reviews so they can be understood! Sorry, so long. The reviews I've read here so far are a perfect example of my reasons for trying to sound an alarm on this situation that's just getting worse by the minute. These once children of the ChatGPT generation are now being employed around the world.

I had a very bad experience, I strongly suggest not to use ccbill if you look for a reliable payment processor for your ecommerce.
I made a sale of 391. They guaranteed that the payment was received.
Then they werent able to collect the money for unknown reason, and instead of taking responsibility, they say it's not their fault and they debited the transaction to me. I've been merchant for over 5 years.

Cancellation of subscription

My subscription to Foreclosure Listings was billed through CCBill with supposedly easy cancelation by clicking link to cancel. I called the number supplied which was medical sales and they would not direct me to the appropriate department. I found Pissed Customer and the correct phone number and was finally able to cancel.

I feel it's not okay for them. To send you information saying awful things that could be manipulated in your life because other people can manipulate things, and then you panic wondering what it could possibly be.
Then they want a $100 to almost $200 for you to see it, not right. You're left with a sick feeling in your stomach.
Because you can't afford that. So I guess you won't know.
